Refuse-derived fuel has been progressively recognized as an alternative renewable energy source. In fact, production of refuse-derived fuel from waste increases the diversion from landfill. The production of refuse-derived fuel is expected to impart with revolutionized role in the renewable energy sector in Egypt.

ECWM produces refuse-derived fuel, which is commonly used as fuel (primarily coal) substitute in cement industry to reduce  emission of CO2. Nevertheless, vigorous efforts have been invested on researching innovative technologies and improving the existing technologies to produce better fuel quality.In general, we focus on “multi-stage” processing technique to produce high quality refuse-derived fuel that meets cement industry requirements.
